Terms of Service

Article 1 (Scope)
These Terms of Service (hereinafter referred to as "these Terms") set forth the conditions for the use of Donree (hereinafter referred to as "the Service") between all users who use the Service (hereinafter referred to as "Users") and the operator of the Service (hereinafter referred to as "the Operator"). By using the Service, Users are deemed to have agreed to these Terms.
Article 2 (Definitions)
The terms used in these Terms are defined as follows: - "The Service" refers to the web application "Donree" provided by the Operator and its associated Chrome extension. - "Users" refers to all individuals who register for and use the Service. - "Content" refers to URLs, article data, and related information saved by Users to the Service.
Article 3 (Account Registration)
Users must provide accurate information when registering an account to use the Service. If registration information is found to be false, the Operator may suspend or delete the account. Users are responsible for properly managing their account information.
Article 4 (Use of Service)
Users may use the Service in accordance with these Terms. The Service provides functionality to classify and prioritize articles saved by Users using AI. AI judgment results are for reference only, and their accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose is not guaranteed. Users acknowledge the following characteristics of AI judgment: - Judgment results may contain biases or imbalances - Due to system load or other factors, judgment may be delayed or temporarily unavailable. In such cases, articles will be classified as "Other" until judgment is completed - Judgment criteria may be adjusted without notice for service improvement purposes
Article 5 (Prohibited Activities)
Users shall not engage in the following activities: - Activities that violate laws or public order and morals - Activities that interfere with the operation of the Service - Activities that infringe on the rights of other Users or third parties - Unauthorized access or similar activities - Unauthorized commercial use of the Service - Other activities deemed inappropriate by the Operator
Article 6 (Intellectual Property)
Intellectual property rights related to the Service belong to the Operator or rightful owners. Copyright of Content saved by Users to the Service belongs to the original copyright holders. The Service uses User Content solely for the purpose of AI judgment.
Article 7 (Disclaimer)
Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Operator shall not be liable for the following: - Accuracy, completeness, or usefulness of AI judgments - Damages caused by interruption, suspension, or changes to the Service - Loss of Content saved by Users - Content of third-party websites The Operator provides the Service as-is and makes no warranties, express or implied. In cases where the Operator is liable for damages to a User, the amount of compensation shall be limited to the total fees paid by the User in the preceding 12 months for paid plan Users, and to cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence only for free plan Users.
Article 8 (Changes and Termination)
The Operator may change the content of or terminate the Service. In the event of termination, the Operator shall endeavor to notify Users at least 30 days in advance through notification on the Service or by email to Users' registered email addresses. However, this shall not apply in cases of urgent necessity. Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence, the Operator shall not be liable for damages caused to Users by changes to or termination of the Service.
Article 9 (Changes to Terms)
The Operator may change these Terms in the following cases: - When the change is in the general interest of Users - When the change does not conflict with the purpose of the contract and is reasonable in light of the necessity of the change, the appropriateness of the changed content, and other circumstances relating to the change When changing the Terms, the Operator shall publicize the content of the changes and the effective date at least 14 days before the effective date through posting on the Service or notification to Users' registered email addresses. If Users continue to use the Service after the effective date, they are deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
Article 10 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
The interpretation and application of these Terms shall be governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes related to the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of the Operator as the court of first instance.
Article 11 (Paid Plans)
The Service offers a free plan (up to 30 articles per month) and a paid plan (Donree Pro). The fees, features, and terms of the paid plan are as described on the Service's information pages and the Specified Commercial Transactions Act disclosure. When changing paid plan fees, the Operator shall notify Users at least 30 days in advance through notification on the Service or by email to Users' registered email addresses. Fee changes shall apply from the next billing period that begins after the notification.
Article 12 (Free Trial)
The Operator may offer a free trial period for the paid plan. The duration and conditions of the free trial shall be as displayed at the time of application. If the User does not cancel during the free trial period, the paid plan will automatically commence, and fees will be charged to the registered payment method. The free trial is available only once per User. When applying for the paid plan, the final confirmation screen will display required information including fees, payment timing, contract period, and cancellation conditions in accordance with the Specified Commercial Transactions Act.
Article 13 (Cancellation and Refunds)
Users may cancel the paid plan at any time from the account settings page. Upon cancellation, Users may continue to use the paid plan features until the end of the current billing period. No prorated refunds will be provided. After cancellation, Users will automatically revert to the free plan.
